We all left Vegas two days ago in high spirits after the celebrations.
Most people were heading home in the east, but Chris and Jenea set of north to Zion while Fiona and I drove up the I95 to Carson City.
The I95 took some getting use to. It was long and straight, I measured a 16 miles section without a wiggle. But the service stations were the high point with the usual petrol, coffee, food and some unexpected extras.
We left the I95 on the 266 through the White Mountains and found a spectacular camp site at a cool 8000ft in the ancient Bristlecone Pine Forrest. It was a welcome contrast to the hubbub of Vegas with views over to the Sierras and these magnificent 4000 year old trees with prickly cones.
Now with Chas and Anne in Carson planning more fun and games.
